International Tax Senior - Bilingual Japanese
We are a renowned, financially robust regional CPA firm specializing in international tax services tailored to our Japanese clientele. This role offers the flexibility to work fully remotely, ideally for candidates based in the PST or MST time zones. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with experienced partners and have the opportunity to engage in complex, fulfilling projects. You will play a crucial role in preparing accurate tax documents, conducting sophisticated tax research, and building enduring client relations, all within a professional and supportive environment. This role requires not only fluency in Japanese but also a strong acumen in tax regulations and corporate finance. Compensation: DOE
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Preparing Federal and multi-state tax returns for C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, bankruptcy, and trusts and estates.
  
• Handling complex accounting and tax issues proficiently.
  
• Conducting both basic and complex tax research to support client needs.
  
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients to understand their business and tax requirements.
  
• Identifying tax planning and consulting opportunities to optimize client tax strategies and compliance.
  
  Minimum Position Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Tax, or Business Administration.
    
  • At least 2 years of relevant tax experience, ideally in a public accounting firm.
    
  • Currently a CPA or on the path to obtain CPA licensure.
    
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong communication abilities both verbally and in writing.
    
  • Ability to handle complex tax and accounting issues under tight deadlines.
    
  • Should be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without any sponsorship needs in the future.
    
    Preferred Qualifications:
    
    • 
      
    • Experience working directly with Japanese clients and utilizing Japanese language skills professionally.
      
    • Advanced competency demonstrated in previous roles related to tax and accounting.
      
    • Experience with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
      
    • Experience in tax planning and compliance for international operations.
      
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in financial analysis.
