Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Prepared Foods Cook to join our team at Whole Foods Market. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing food items for our cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars according to production sheets and recipes.Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Prepare food items according to recipes and production sheets to ensure quality and consistency.
• Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all prepared items are labeled, dated, covered, monitored for quality and freshness, and rotated.
• Inventory Management: Monitor food levels and replenish in a timely manner.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs in a timely and effective manner, and model suggestive selling techniques.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, and follow established procedures.Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: 6-12 months retail experience is preferred.
  • Certifications and Training: Knowledge of food production and fundamental cooking techniques, ability to follow a recipe, and basic math skills are required.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday, and work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
