Job Description:
A company is looking for a Senior Medical Editor (or Medical
Editor) to ensure high-quality medical communication materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Copyedit and substantively edit complex medical and scientific
documents
Proofread layout materials for accuracy and adherence to
established standards
Edit various types of medical communication materials, including
manuscripts and digital content
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education:
Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, or health
sciences field
5 years of professional medical/science editing experience (3 years
for midlevel position)
Strong medical editing skills and knowledge of AMA Manual of Style,
11th edition
Thorough understanding of medical, pharmaceutical, and scientific
terminology
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and
Adobe Acrobat
